The Many Uses of Video
small business needs good video, too...

Who Needs What

Corporate America has been using video for years to spread a message, sell a product, or train their employees.  They realize there is no other medium that can give them a return on their investment faster than a well produced video piece.

Given an enterprise budget to get quality work produced, the sky was often the limit.  However, HDV tries to focus on a much larger crowd with the same needs, but with smaller budgets.  There is no longer a good reason why a small business can't complement their marketing strategies with a heavy duty video piece of their own.

And it doesn't stop there.  The list of people, businesses, and organizations who need video is almost endless, and what they can use video for is an even longer list.

The following are just some of the uses for heavy duty video.  Next, we will explore the different types of video used.

Television Advertising - HDV can produce most types of television advertising with more impact for the dollar compared with station productions.  Beware of "free" productions offered by them as they are almost always a waste of the airtime you purchased!

Internet Advertising - Nothing complements a website better than a sharp, crispy video that can really draw in your audience in 60 seconds or less.

Tradeshows - Do you remember the last trade show you attended where video wasn't a key component of the high traffic booths?  Now you can have the same appeal that will get people to stop walking and start talking!

Sales Presentations - One of the more important aspects of sales is being able to get out a clear and consistent message.  With a sales video, you can hammer home your products or services to your potential customer base without having to worry about deviation or miscommunication.

Technical Presentations - Nothing is more difficult than trying to explain something technical to non-technical people.  With a good video, you can get it right once and not have to worry about it anymore.  Instead of relying on a team member to always be available to explain something technical, the video can be used to do it as many times as you want, whenever you need it.

Ecommerce - The next step after a sales presentation.  An ecommerce piece can often close a sale if properly utilized.  Video is much more effective than text in getting someone to the checkout page.

Direct Marketing - Need a CD or DVD to send to 10,000 people?  HDV can take your video to your mailing list.  More people are apt to watch a Video CD or DVD than to read through sales material.

Sales Support - Use a video to help sell for you.  Video can be used to do most of the selling or just the parts that you want.  Often a sales support video takes the time-intensive parts of your sales process and streamlines them so you can focus on more important things.  Its nice to refer to online video when on the phone with a customer.

Corporate Communications - Tell the world who your company is and how you differentiate yourself from your competition.

Public Relations - Deliver a clear and concise message to the public through television, video email, or clips on your website.

Employee Training - Deliver relevant training in a cost-effective and timely manner.  Give specialized skills training without tying up human resources.

Customer Training - Do you have a product that needs a visual explanation?  Nothing beats the power of video to make sure your customers do not become frustrated with written text explanations of complicated or lengthy concepts.

Education - Video in the classroom is nothing like it used to be.  Now, there are many more possibilities than film strips or overhead projector presentations to teach anyone of any age in a much more interesting manner.

Conferences & Retreats - Being able to professionally record or playback performances at conferences can be a real time and money saver.  Use video footage of a retreat to advertise for a future retreat.

Parties & Social Events - Sometimes, you just need to get it on film!  Do you wish you had your last Christmas party on tape?

Sporting Events - Nothing beats a professionally produced video of an important sporting event.

Private Investigation - Services for private investigators who need video footage of an event outside their local area.

Forensic Investigation - Services for forensic investigators who need video footage of an event outside their local area.

Aerial Videography - Need something filmed from above?  HDV provides aerial photography and videography services in most markets.

Underwater Videography - Need something filmed from above?  HDV provides underwater photography and videography services in most markets.

Evidence Recording - Video in the courtroom has revolutionized evidence collection.  However, the better the quality, the more convincing the evidence will be.  Whether you need footage of your neighbor stealing your newspaper or an employee selling trade secrets, HDV can get the job done right.

Weddings & Bar Mitzvahs - These are two events that are always recorded, but often improperly.  Hiring a photographer just doesn't cut it anymore, but bringing video and sound into the celebration yields much better memory recollection in the future.

News Gathering - Whether its something you want to tape and hand off to Fox News or something new and exciting happening in your company, HDV can get it on tape, on disk, and on the net.
