Video Types

Let's explore a few different types of videos we can create.  Depending on what you want to say will tell you what kind of video to create.  Here are a few examples...

Promotional Video - These videos sell your products and services.  If you need to advertise, this is the type of video you need.  Our promotional videos showcase your company, not just your products and services, to convince your customer base to buy from you.

Profile Video - Profiles communicate a descriptive message.  Companies use profile videos to explain who they are, what separates them from their competition, provide an overview of their products or services, or to show how their customers prefer them over someone else.  Entrepreneurs use profile videos to visually present business plans, and sell their ideas.  Organizations use profiles to explain why they exist and why you should join.

Training & Educational Video - Since video is much more stimulating to the brain than still images and text on paper, those who use video to train or educate have a much higher chance of remembering what they saw and heard.  This is one of main reasons why video in the classroom has been so successful.  The driest and most boring material can be "spun-up" to keep the viewer interested and focused.  Training employees and staff is much more cost effective than having costly training classes, and training on video provides legal evidence of what you're teaching.

Event Video - "I need you to film that..."  Basically just recording anything from conferences to speeches to fund raisers to football games.

Tour Video - If you want to show something to someone you take them on a tour.  Here, we record that tour and produce a professional quality video that highlights all the important parts of the tour with consistent explanation throughout.

Press Release Video - When you need to get the message out, a professional press release is the way to go.  However, you can complement a traditional press release with a video highlighting your announcement.

Testimonial Video - Nothing is more potent than hearing a customer bragging about their vendor.  And if you can capture that on tape, then you have a powerful tool to use that will build trust between you and your potential clientele.  Testimonial video is the cornerstone to a successful infomercial or sales presentation.

Most videos are a combination of the above types.  For instance, you could create a sales presentation by providing some company profile, followed by some promotional video about your products, use some event video from a tradeshow and tour video of your facility as "filler video" or B-roll, followed up by testimonial video of what your customers love about your company.  All together, you have promotional video that explains who you are, what you offer, how you build it, and what others think about it.  A total solution.

Since HDV saves a copy of all raw footage digitally in a common format, we can reuse footage from previous videos to create new ones.  For instance, you can use some of your raw training video footage to produce a profile video explaining how well you train your employees, or use some of your raw sales promotional video to build a video press release.  This saves money and encourages the production of more video.
