All native capture resolutions can be converted to square pixel.  Downsampling (resolution and/or bit rate) and downconversion (squeeze, crop, letterbox, or portrait*) of any capture resolution including, but not limited to:

Progressive rates are achieved through blending or interpolating interlaced fields.  True progressive scanning available for film and not recommended for video.
